A health app that grows with
the user's needs
THE BRIEF
Slimming World had an existing application that was doing well but needed to be worked on as features were missing that their users were crying out for.
THE PROBLEM
The Distance and Slimming World accessed the application and reviewed it to identify the key areas that were missing. This highlights that the support offered to their users was missing and needed to be included to maximise the app's success.

THE SOLUTION
After an initial quick release to meet the New Year's uptake, The Distance now works as partners to help define the direction of the app, bringing extra value services to Slimming World members.
THE RESULTS
The app has had almost 5 million downloads and continually supports 200,000 active users each month. It has also led to a significant increase in newsletter sign-ups - over 20,000 in the first year.
